PRE-REQUISITE
The only prerequisite is that learners must be at least middle managers in their organizations charged with the responsibility of improving the diversity, equity, and inclusion values, norms, procedures, policies, and monitoring/evaluation in organizational human resources management with ready access to the CEO and other senior management leaders.
AIMS
The aims of Cultural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Human Resources Management are to give human resource professionals social sciences based knowledge about major cultural populations and ways to avoid common problems they have in being over or under represented in private and public workplaces from top to bottom due to insidious and intentional stereotyping. To provide early 21st century global best practices knowledge and practices addressing the identification , recruitment, and full utilization of culturally diverse talent throughout an organization. Provide a safe space to discuss, plan, and recommend solutions for culturally closed organizational leaders interested in becoming more productive, more globally competitive, and more vibrant, interesting places to work in culturally diverse, fair , and decision-making inclusive work environments.
OUTLINE SYLLABUS
Through Contact Hours: The contact hours for this course are a 3 hours Saturday online Zoom seminar which meets every odd number week and a peer sharing 3 hours time which meets every even number week. Learners are required to set a time to meet with the instructor 1 on 1 or in groups of 2-3 online during weeks 3 and 8 to discuss course expectations and progress.
Through Self-Learning: During the seminar and peer sharing weeks, learners will be required to have meetings with the CEO and other senior management leaders of their organizations about what they are learning about best practices in organizational diversity, equity, and inclusion and contributing feedback in the seminars and peer sharing experiences and in their Midpoint and final project reports.
